Of all the final resting places of the men from Tadcaster i have visited, Thomas was the one that moved me most.
At the base of the gravestone was an overgrown plant, on removing this to one side i found the inscription "TADCASTER"
After the war all familys could pay for a final inscription on the gravestone of their loved one. Thomas fought with a Scottish Regiment and his family's pride that he came from Tadcaster is clear to see.
