HERBURN IN ELMET WW1 WAR MEMORIAL

I would like to give a special thank you to John Hickton the Church warden of All Saints Church Sherburn-in Elmet, for a list of the mens names given at the unvailing of the memorial in 1921. Without his help at least four men would have been forgotten, and their details not placed on this site.

The memorial was dedicated on Saturday the 12th of February 1921. It reads To the Glory of God and in memory of the men from Sherburn-in Elmet who fell in the Great War 1914-1919.
